A graduate of the prestigious IULM University in Italy, Stefania’s journey into the fashion world began with a remarkable achievement: winning the Riccione Moda Italia competition. This accolade earned her an internship with Jean Paul Gaultier. Instead of pursuing the internship, Stefania chose to take on the challenge of revitalizing a fashion school in Egypt, marking the beginning of her impactful career in global fashion education.
Stefania Gulina: Shaping Global Fashion Education
Stefania began her career in Egypt as a Fashion Education Consultant, collaborating with the Egyptian Government and leading international embassies like the Italian and Swiss missions. She spearheaded projects focusing on women’s empowerment in remote regions of Egypt, including Sohag, Siwa, Fayoum, El Arish, and Saint Catherine, integrating fashion with community development and economic growth.
Her influence soon extended beyond Egypt as she established fashion institutes in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and Morocco, and conducted seminars on fashion and communication across India at renowned institutions like INFTD.

Today, Stefania is the Managing Director of the Italian Fashion Academy, the premier institute for fashion design and education in the Middle East. Under her leadership, the academy nurtures budding designers, fosters innovation through its fashion technology initiatives, and operates an incubator for emerging talents. In addition, Stefania manages her own private label, blending her creative vision with her educational expertise.
